The Fibre Factory UK

Fibre and family fun

As a Spinner, Yarn dyer, knitter and Fibre Processor, one of the things I’m often asked is
"How on earth did you get started with all this?” For as long as I can remember, I've loved fibre arts and to share my passions, peeves, and points of view with others around me. The Fibre Factory UK has added immense value to my life, and I love having the chance to share my passions and wonderings with my loyal readers. Explore my site, and enjoy.

Hi all!

The problem with being immobile and in pain is that I can't do much for blog content!

Here's a quick update of where I am health wise..... it's pretty much the same place as I was in my last post sadly.

I had Nerve root block procedure in June, we held out so much...

It's been a while!

Today is MRI day. I care not a jot that it's a scorching bank holiday weekend, as quite frankly I can't participate in the usual shenanigans as I'm still ..... let's call it incapacitated.

If you are in Suffolk you may have seen an amazing storm last n...

Social Media -

I'm sure the vast majority of us have a Facebook account. Whether it be just for our personal use or business use most people now use Facebook.

I remember when I first joined , It was a very basic (all be it clever) column based page, the now infamous "Po...

Yes! It's here!

Finally after many starts and many more stops the first in a series of pin loom weaving videos is available.

Maybe one of you will know the answer to this question - Why, when you start something that requires a modicum of quiet, a teensy bit of concentra...

It's been quite sometime since I updated the blog.

Things were very busy for me in the later months and blog posts here sadly lost out.

But a new year brings a new blog post.

It will be a short and sweet entry though!

Looms have been super popular and I hope you are creat...

Well it's not officially Autumn, that special event is Friday 22nd September, but for me Autumn begins right now!

Why is it the best of the seasons for me?

It means that there's a slight nip in the air, the leaves change into all kinds of gorgeousness and it's time for t...

It's true!

It's a bank holiday weekend and the sun has shone throughout it all. It's also been very warm, hot actually.

I'm gearing up for Autumn which is my favourite season, I don't know if it's the Knitter in me or if it's the cosy feeling you get when you shut the do...

It is day 2.

I am full of positivity.  I pack an umbrella, wellington boots and an inflatable raft.

Quick outfit check... White T-shirt and cotton hippy pants. (This is important)

Everything is ready.

We're off.

I take the right turn to the site. Good start. Our gazeb...

A truly gorgeous yarn! The packaging was excellent and the free gifts very much appreciated, (the mint tea was especially good)! Hope to be back for more yarn soon!

This is the loveliest bouncy, Jacobs fluff! It is an absolute joy to spin, as Lianne doesn't destroy it by attempting to wash all the lanolin out! It's beautiful & natural & has a wonderfully light sheepy scent. As you can see from the photo, I spun it into a woollen single & I am extremely pleased with the results! A very happy customer indeed :)
